Wuqiong College at Tsinghua University is an innovative undergraduate college established in response to China’s national strategy of achieving greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology, and to meet the talent development needs of the artificial intelligence era. The College offers one undergraduate major only - Artificial Intelligence - and is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of AI pioneers.

Through initiatives such as the AI Learning Festival and project-based learning, the College explores new educational models for the AI-native generation and seeks to cultivate AI talent in a highly effective, AI-enabled way. At Wuqiong College, students do not simply study AI; they learn to create AI and shape the future.

The College works closely with schools and departments across the Tsinghua University and promotes interdisciplinary learning through its "AI+X" approach. By breaking disciplinary boundaries and integrating AI with science, engineering, the humanities, and medicine, Wuqiong College fosters an ecosystem in which technical competence, creativity, and leadership develop in synergy, while advancing intelligent innovation in both fundamental research and industrial upgrading.

The name "Wuqiong" is drawn from a line in the Tsinghua University anthem, which may be rendered in English as "May the name of our University shine with boundless distinction." It conveys the aspiration that the College’s educational endeavors will have far-reaching and enduring influence. It also symbolizes students’ unceasing pursuit of knowledge and character, with no limit to the horizons they may reach.

Drawing on Tsinghua’s leading disciplines and frontier resources, the College provides strong support for AI core curricula, "AI+X" interdisciplinary projects, and mentorship from both academic and industry experts.
